It’s Officially Auction Time!!!
5 years ago I decided to do something that I didn’t know would change my life- I joined Team in Training and ran my first marathon in San Francisco in support of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and quickly learned that through TNT, we can make a difference.
Everyone knows I run a lot of races but none mean as much to me as the races I run with TNT.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is doing more than any other nonprofit to advance cutting edge research and cures, is funding more than 300 different cancer research projects, and gave $237 million last year to help patients afford their treatments. And NONE of that would be possible without the efforts of Team in Training participants all across the country.
I’m back with Team in Training for my 8th season and 35th half marathon, Rock n’ Roll Nashville. This season, I have pledged to raise $2000 for the cause and train six days a week from now until the race in order to help find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma.
I reached out to several running and sports companies again asking (pretty please) for product donations and as a result of their amazing generosity, have secured over $3,000 worth of products for my second Auction for a Cure benefiting LLS and it is officially LIVE and open for bidding! By participating, you will be supporting a great cause, helping to extend blood cancer research, and improving the lives of patients and their families.
Following are the items up for bid, just be sure to check out the Rules and Logistics before bidding and GOOD LUCK!
- Each item has a minimum starting bid of $25.
- All bidders must email running4thereason@hotmail.com to place an official bid (bids left in the comments section will not be reviewed, only bids e-mailed will be considered official and affirmative).
- Auction closes April 14th, 8pm PST.
- Highest bids will be left above the item photo.
- If the lot states, STARTING BID: $25, that means no one has bid on that lot yet; therefore, you may start it off with a bid of $25 (or higher).
- Each bid after the starting bid must be raised by $10 minimum (if you want to raise more than $10, go for it, but if you attempt to raise less than $10, your bid will not be accepted).
- Once a reader has won the bid on an item they will then donate the specified amount to my TNT page within 24 hours.
